I know the game has a rather bad rep in terms of gameplay, since Namco tried a lot of new things that ended up not working so well (and then completely scrapping them in newer installments unfortunately instead of tweaking them and trying to make them work), but can we just talk about how amazing it was atmosphere-wise?Įspecially as far as the soundtrack goes - no other Tekken game has had such an atmospheric and sometimes even dark soundtrack, and I feel it really rounded out the grounded and gloomy tone they went for in that game. Tekken 5 takes a considerable effort to integrate features from Tekken 4.
